The Return of Summer Komikon 2016
Manila, April 11, 2016 – From a short break, the Summer Komikon 2016 is back in one day of fun-packed and over-flowing artistic creativity! Komiks fans will be trooping over to the Bayanihan Center, Unilab Compound in Pasig City on April 16 (Saturday) from 10AM to 7PM to get the latest and the freshest of our locally made comics. Get ready to heat up on the hottest komiks convention in the Philippines that will give you:
-meet and greet of our special guests – Rod Espinosa, Reno Maniquis and Andrew Villar. Plus, group spotlight on the third batch of Sulyap Komiks Anthology creators as the freshest and upcoming independent local comics creators;
-launching of the latest comic book titles by your favorite artists, with meet and greet with your favorite local comics creators at Hall A&B, plus upcoming local comics creators in the Independent Komiks Tiangge at Conference Rooms CD;
-special comic panels: Collaborative Work in Comics with female tandem Tepai Pascual and Maika Ezawa with best buds Ace Vitangcol and Jed Siroy and Veteran Speak with Rico Rival and Danny Acuña at Conference Room E;
-signings and drawing commissions from your favorite international Filipino comics creators from Marvel, DC and Dynamite Comics (Lui Antonio, Jomar Bulda, Dennis Crisostomo, Jonathan Lau, Roy Allan Martinez, Heubert Khan Michael, Mico Suayan and Edgar Tadeo) at the Komiks Kalye at Conference Room F;
-first ever blood-letting drive in cooperation with Red Cross Philippines at Conference Room B;
-awarding of Komikon’s contest winners on Komiks Creation Contest and Cover Recreation Contest;
